Just in time for Rosh Hashanah, I discovered Kippa Kids (www.kippakids.com), a company that makes the cutest kippas (kippot) in a large variety of prints.
Given the tradition of buying new clothes for children, I thought this might be a lovely idea for some families.
“Wear it well, titchadshi,” my mother always said to our girls when she bought them new dresses. “Titchadesh,” she said to her grandson.
Literally, the expression means “renew yourself.”
What could be better for the “head” of the year?
“We look to begin the year with a clean slate, starting anew, refreshed.”
