Jewish Journey in 50 Words

I am continually amazed at how varied our paths are to and through Judaism.  When I met with a small group of parents at our synagogue, I saw that diversity afresh.   One wanted to reconnect; one had recently converted; one’s husband was Jewish . . .

So when I saw a Twitter post by @JewishConnectiv, it really resonated.  Here’s the “challenge” she recommends:  Write your Jewish journey in 50 words.

The hard part for most of us,  I suspect, is to compress our journeys into just 50 words.  In fact, I’m struggling now to get down to 50.  The value, though, is in identifying what we think are the critical elements.

Want to give it a try?  If you do — and want to share your 50-word journeys — post them as comments to this blog.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. A great read. I will certainly be back.

I loved this 50-word challenge, too. Have you tried it yet? And what kinds of pictures did you have in mind? Welcome!
